Hair and Fashion Studio
For as long as I can remember, my life has been intertwined with the fashion world. My mom taught me to sew at a very young age, around 3 or 4 years old. Over the years, I've had a hand in creating items for my own wardrobe, making things like costumes and simple pieces early on, evolving to creating my own perfect wedding dress, and finally with the introduction of unique one-of-a-kind pieces from my own fashion line, HomeGrown Fashion.
Jewelry making started as a hobby for me around age 12, and from the first series of simple beaded necklaces (my best friend Lilli still has one of them somewhere) I was completely addicted. I've spent countless hours sorting, organizing, and working with beads, and as the years have gone by I've added wire work, polymer clay, clear resin, and many other medium to the mix. In the past few years I've gotten more into creating my jewelry line in conjunction to my fashion line, and sell my pieces at HomeGrownFashion.Etsy.Com and at shows and events.
Hair styling is the newest of my loves. Though I have been having fun with my own hair color since I was a teenager, I became a licensed hair stylist in 2003. Since then, I've built a career as a Master Stylist and Color Specialist, working mostly in the greater San Francisco bay area, and currently working at Alchemy Hair Studio in San Jose, CA. Along with my career with Matrix as a Master Artistic Educator, I look forward to furthering my skill level as a stylist, creating beautiful imagery with freelance projects, and making people look and feel great!
